Medieval Doesburg

Doesburg Medieval & Hanseatic

Doesburg is a beautiful medieval & hanseatic town in the east of the Netherlands. The town with many houses that date back to the 1400’s is set on the banks of the river IJssel.

It is a great starting point to bike or walk in the vicinities.

To the east of the town you find wonderful woods and little agricultural villages. To the west is the Nation Park De Hoge Veluwe.

Go north on the river IJssel and you find wonderful towns like Zutphen, Deventer, Hattem, Zwolle and Kampen. All hanseatic towns like Doesburg

Doesburg offers a rich cultural life with pubs, concerts, restaurants and a movie house in a former monastery from 1309. From more detailed information, have a look at activities.
